Well to be fair, it is a very different conversation. Black people historically are expected to act white if they want to get ahead. Of course times are changing but it’s still very real for regular non famous black people. 
Whites historically have taken from other cultures in order to appear more hip or artsy while having the advantage of rocking the most sought after skin color. Different convos and they are not interchangeable.
