Did ‘Controlling Britney Spears’ not make a lot of noise outside of her fanbase?

I’m surprised to see that she isn’t trending unlike last time. Is it going to take at least another day or two for it to pick up? What’s going on? Why aren’t people talking outside of the Britney army?

This documentary had no promotion and it is like they randomly aired it to beat Netflix.

I am seeing a lot of headlines about it in the news. And it's a Friday, so...

The surprise drop didn’t help at all.

I’m no longer sure they did that to beat Netflix. Both docs appear to cover entirely different aspects of the conservatorship.

It looks more like all these documentaries coming out around the same time is as much about riding on the mounting FreeBritney publicity as it is a coordinated effort to push for ending the fiasco leading up to Wednesday’s court date. 

The world is not only watching judge Penny at this point, they are actively waiting with baited breath for her to say “enough”. The pressure is on big time! These documentaries definitely contribute to that.

It had a cute little peak for a while last night, but it didn't have nearly as big of an impact as some folks expected. And honestly, why would non-Brit fans even tune in anyway?
