On February 13, 2005, Britney Spears' Toxic won the Grammy for Best Dance Recording.

 

The song written and produced by Bloodshy & Avant, with additional writing of Cathy Dennis and Henrik Jonback, beat the following songs that were also nominated:

  • Good Luck, by Basement Jaxx ft. Lisa Kekaula
  • Get Yourself High, by The Chemical Brothers
  • Slow, by Kylie Minogue
  • Comfortably Numb, by Scissor Sisters

That was a long overdue Grammy Award. It’s crazy to think in over 22 years she has only won one of these considering the contribution she has made to popular music and how influential it has been. 

I know rite!! She was robbed big time, and look how ****ty Grammys are now.
