Is it just me or is the whole situation surrounding Felicia and Britney incredibly sad?

I get the sense that Jamie never took the time to get to know his own daughter as a person.

He always saw her as a means to an end. Financially speaking.

"My daughter is gonna buy me a boat."

The lack of a relationship, combined with his abuser's tactics, have resulted in exactly the situation Britney still remains in today.

Isolated. Lonely. Separated from friends. Separated from her children. No power of her finances. No power over her artistry.

It's sickening that the courts have allowed it for so long.
