However, it currently has a user rating score of 4.9 based off of nearly 500 user submissions.

It isn't BADBAD, but my expectations were higher tbh

I think critics would hear it on a different perspective.  It’s a great remix club album.  It definitely suits the mood for a disco-dance club. However I wish the songs were a lil more “dance-ey”?  Anyways, it’s still a good album by itself. This also increases Future Nostalgias rating so

I hate to say it but yea... I couldn't even finish the whole thing last night.  

Then again I'm not a huge fan of remixes to begin with. They really needed to transform these songs with new vocals, not just lace them with club beats.

I think that critics judged the album by ITSELF, but didn’t put the thought of comparison with original

In contrast, Katy Perry's Smile has a 52 in Metacritic (13 reviews) vs 9.0 User score with 6K reviews.

I have non-stop listened to Smile all day TBH

Lolol I know. I tend to genuinely enjoy almost everything. And if I don't, I just pay it dust. But I had to give the remix album a real shot because I felt a responsibility to, but a few of them I was like  and started playing Smile.

I still can't believe the Cool and Pretty Please remixes are real  like they're just... unlistenable and a disgrace, I cannot believe a group of people listened to those remixes and thought "this is great let's put it out!", and let's just say... the levitating remix sounds like a masterpiece next to those two

I was expecting this album to be traditional remixes but now that I understand and hear it is more meant to be as if u were in a club and the dj was mixing it sou ds better and makes more sense.

Gwen Stefani sounds amazing on physical! Her voice suits it perfectly. 

I think Melanie C woulsve been amazing on a remix of Break my Heart
