WSJ is reporting that Trump has been considering forming a panel to review complaints of online anti-conservative bias:

Quote

President Trump is considering establishing a panel to review complaints of anticonservative bias on social media, according to people familiar with the matter, in a move that would likely draw pushback from technology companies and others.

The plans are still under discussion but could include the establishment of a White House-created commission that would examine allegations of online bias and censorship, these people said. The administration could also encourage similar reviews by federal regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Communications Commission and the Federal Election Commission, they said.

“Left-wing bias in the tech world is a concern that definitely needs to be addressed from our vantage point, and at least exposed [so] that Americans have clear eyes about what we’re dealing with,” a White House official said.

Mr. Trump has long expressed that viewpoint, and in a recent Twitterpost indicated that a plan to address complaints of bias is in the works.

“The Radical Left is in total command & control ofFacebook, Instagram, Twitter and Google,” Mr. Trump tweeted May 16, adding that his administration is “working to remedy this illegal situation.”

Do you think this could lead to an infringement of free speech, or do you think the Trump administration is correct in trying to create a more equal representation of both sides of the political agenda?

He’s disgusting and all the right-wing people too! They are selfish, racists, homophobes and misogynists. They try to censor everything. They want to keep ideas from the past forever and stop evolution. They don’t care about animals or the environment problems. Those ******* fascists are the worst of the worst.
And Trump is one of the most stupid Americans  ever. He’s dumb, arrogant and a clown. Sometimes what he says feels like a joke, like really??? Did he really say that? I don’t know how anyone can vote that, so stupid.

Trump is looking for a way to legally get away with his failings of the american people.

Until this crisis, everything could be justified by "free speech", even if it was an active attempt to justify hate crimes, discrimination, trying to fan violence etc.

He is on the verge of being responsible for the deaths of millions of Americans and that's blood on his hands.

This isnt to deal with anticonservative bias, I mean his approval rating has always been low, this is to find a way to silence his critics.

This panel will lead to him moving forward and start trying to implement laws that will go against actual freedom of speech laws, but his supporters will eat it up.

Americans, if they truly believe he is unfit, need to go out of their way to prove that they dont support him.

jesus christ all mighty. can he start doing his actual job 🙄 there's people dying and 30 million unemployed. he already has 'his own' tv station Fox News with the highest ratings. what else he needs? blood? 🙄🙄🙄

He's unwell.

Look at what he said this week:

“And I tested very positively in another sense,” Trump bellowed. “So this morning, I tested positively toward negative, right? So no, I tested perfectly this morning. Meaning I tested negative. But that’s a way of saying it: Positively toward the negative.”

I think we should (aka President Jordan) should start a panel to review complaints of online anti-Britney bias.

Cut it out, guys. It's not cool. :fakecry:

The right scream about us lefties being snowflakes with too many feelings and needing safe spaces blah blah. Now they're trying to make the internet a safe space for the right wing nuts? The right are the biggest snowflakes on earth! Can dish it out all day long but become deranged when its turned back on them. The hypocrisy is unreal.

You would think, if there were to be any panel reviewing internet posting, it would be for hate speech and bullying (since this is supposedly Melania's chosen issue as first lady). But even then, it's still messing with the freedom of speech.

If you're going to address this as a bias, then you have to address the bias of race, wealth, gender and so many other topics.

The right throws tantrums about having to wear a mask during a pandemic because they feel it's an infringement of their freedom as an American, but yet they now are all for limiting our freedom of speech Amendment because it will shut up some "looney lefts"?

We really are living in "1984" during this administration.

Being impartial, he's not wrong on this. If Twitter is an unbiased platform, it should be hands off of anything, once they start messing with it, then it becomes a problem because it's messing with people's freedom of speech. If Twitter wants to have a "fact-check", that's good, but it has to be unbiased and it might change how the whole platform works as a whole.
