Should Britney Finally Do A Rock Inspired Album?

Britney's mentioned many times she likes rock music and has incorporated some of that into her own past songs.

Remember when all the pop girls, Britney, Mandy, Jessica, Christina were all grouped together and Pink was kind of reaching for the R/B thing?

Pink turned it around and did more of a rock/less pop album " Missundaztood " and it won awards sold millions and had hit singles.

Let's take a look back at some of Britney's more rock moments.

Britney of course covered "I love rock and roll"

At the American Music Awards Britney performed a more rock influenced version of her hit single "Stronger"

In the Zone was heading in more of a rock direction when Britney linked up with Fred Durst to work on songs together.

The story begins in 2003 when Spears tapped Durst to pen songs for her next album. The collaboration then allegedly turned into a romantic fling, with Durst telling fans in a statement that Spears "happens to be a person that I [wouldn't] have thought could make me feel this way."

Also during Britney's widely successful The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour, Britney took on "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette.

Experimenting with what Britney calls rock flares several tracks she has recorded fans seemed to like.

you forgot the original doll period

half of the songs she made from that era were punky

Do Somethin

Chaotic

My Prerogative

Ive only begun (having fun)

but i wish she makes a more high energy ethereal album, like Glory but more trancy

like And then we kiss and over to you now

I listed Just Begun...

My Prerogative was an r/b track and Britney's version is more dancey.

The days of trance with Britney are over at the moment.

She did so much of that on BJ and ITZ

I don't think it'd go over well. :weirdmeout: I'm not the biggest fan of her strictly rock inspired songs in the first place, though. :staysalty: I feel like pop rock is a thing of the past decade and it's not a sound that's going to reappear anytime soon imo. :tiffanynod:
