Had you been trough what she has been, her own family. Seeing people who did all that to her walking free you would rebel aswell. She needs justice to close this chapter.

hmmm...  well I agree with some points you're making but I don't think most people turn a blind eye but rather advocate for her autonomy and agency. 

Also, relying solely on the court of public opinion for justice overlooks the importance of legal proceedings and due process.
