Britney had to fight for many songs to be on her records or be the singles. She is the mastermind behind her success. It is a shame that by the 4th album they still didnt trust her instincts. Where is jive right now btw?

Crazy that if Britney and this guy would’ve relented, we wouldn’t have had one of Britney’s most iconic songs snd music videos of her career and of pop culture in general. Glad they saw the potential for it and fought for it.

Matm I get tbh, but toxic sounds like a hit and honestly somebody knew cause it led all the promo for the album. Toxic was a staple in the press run long before it was a single.

Britney had good instincts with this song.

No surprise her label has made poor choices and has missed opportunities when it came to Britney's career and her creativity choices hence the baby girl going to a radio station with the single (Mona Lisa) she wanted for her next project at that time.

But apparently somebody made a good hot choice there, huh?

It’s crazy to me that they don’t trust her instincts which have propelled her career. Blackout was the only record she is an executive producer on.

They wanted Britney go the expected "urban-pop" way with Outrageous and Boom Boom

but Britney was inspired by Eelectro-pop European music scene.

Breathe On Me should have been the 4rd single….but to everything else i agree completely.
