Cher talks about Britney in a new interview. "I wanted to let her know that I was watching and I was listening. When we were in Las Vegas, everybody on the strip knew. We just didn't know how deep it was, but we knew something was really not right and you could tell... it bothered me."

That's not shady...I think she sounded hesitant to say that but it slipped.

Someone said no too long ago that what Britney went through wasn't a secret in the industry, but for some reason nobody said anything or got involved. I still find that situation really weird, you'll think that with social media today and everything going on it would be hard to hide it, but somehow there's a lot we still don't know and probably never will.

You need to realise the world does not revolve around Britney..... Cher is not an exhale Stan

despite the fact Cher knew something wasn't right:

1) she didn't know the extent of it

2) Britney was confusing the narrative by keeping quiet herself and then telling everyone on camera she was fine.

3) these are high profile celebs, why would they risk going against powerful Hollywood figures and coming for another stars family over something they don't have the details of... or worse show themselves to be a conspiracy theorist which was #FreeBritney was for a long time. That would be career suicide for them.

Cher seemed to have taken the right steps by trying to connect with Britney privately to offer help.

I do get an internal eye roll every time I see "why didn't such and such do more/speak up more". Let's not also forget Britney has a habit or dragging anyone who shows her kindness and sympathy........
