In Cher's defense, she's not family, she's not a close friend, she's not someone Britney contacted for help, for me she still has no reason to be outfront about it, but she has been ever since Britney spoke up and that is supportive imo. And I do think in her position she wasn't just leaning back and watching what was going on to keep herself out of the mess, she was just simply living HER own life. The fact that she is supportive is enough imo, I even think doing MORE than this would be a bit odd.

The real and only people to blame are team con.

Ive always been a big cher fan and im glad she's speaking up. Cher isn't afraid to speak up for anyone . she always says whats on her ming.

Jesus it took protests from thousands of her fans to eliminate conservatorship. Don't blame Cher for this. There was nothing she could do. It was impossible for anyone to approach Brit at that time except her scumbag family memebers and team Con.

People that are public figures have a stronger influence, Cher is just like Gaga and I stand 10 toes down on it.

We see proof the lawyers lied and played games with the judicial system to imprison her in this conservatorship to be everyones ATM and have control over her. A legal prison it was awful.. I can't blame Britney for anything she does regarding what she does now to occupy her time.. It was awful what they did esp to a fully capable working human being she was able to care for herself they purposely lied and exaggerated to make it seem like she's not well. It still infuriates me..

Sorry, you are naive. Britney has a powerful lawyer now and her finances have still not cleared. It's two years after her liberation. TMZ is still writing trash about her. A few weeks ago, this forum was filled with participants who trashed Britney.

Do you really think that Cher, or other artists could have started a movement to free her? Her fans actually created the momentum that gave Britney hope, that probably inspired Ronan Farrow and other serious journalists to follow up with documentaries and articles. Those might have convinced Rosengart that it was a serious case of bullying a woman and he took the case.

Cher like everyone else in Hollywood KNEW but didn't care to do anything. Britney's fans were literally taking vacation days from work to support her and spread the news of the abuse. The fans and Britney are the only ones who did anything.

Thinking now, we have to be real in this, we as fans always knew something wasn't right with her. But as years went by, we started taking everything with her as a joke, calling her lazy, robotic, all kind of stuff and I think we as fans couldn't do much at the time either because we didn't know exactly what was going on. BUT, there are weird stories since 2009 about her team blocking Britney from people (even from celebrities), I remember a story The Wanted said one time they were backstage at her FF tour and her team all of the sudden screamed "Everybody turn around and look at the wall!" because Britney was about to go through the hallway, and nobody could look at her directly. And that was back in 2011. Iggy Azalea did speak up about weird things going on back in 2015 when they met. So, my point is there were in fact stories, but how could anybody do anything if she had a whole entourage with power? People closed to her have said for years how hard it is to reach out to her, so Idk.

Sorry, but no one could do anything - if anyone said anything, they could abuse her insta and release a fake statement that "everything is fine" and start insulting those people on her behalf, or they would force her to do an interview where she would lie. And if it were ordinary people, team con could destroy their lives with the amount of money = power, they had. It was difficult in 2008-21. Do you remember how they forced her to say that her sign in was fake back in 2008 in court.
