I thought she hit her peak with Hips Don't Lie in 2006

It depends on what market. It will be really hard to make it to the top of the american charts again, but globally she's an icon. Latina Kylie Minogue in that way.

Shakira is a global icon. Like Beyonce, she's been globally relevant for 20+ years.

check out her recent global smash hits. Maybe because they are in spanish you dont know them but they are mega hits for her bigger than hips dont lie such as: Music Sessions VOL 3 with BZRP, TQG with karol G, and Felicito with Rauw Alejandro.
