Will She Ever Escape Conspiracy Theories?

Hi everyone, 

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm sure other things like this have been posted, but I just needed to get this out.

I am so exhausted by all these conspiracy theories and I'm really worried they're going to hurt her book and future work. It seems to me, truly, that most of the people perpetuating them are not even fans in the traditional sense, or if they are they're relatively new. I've been following Britney since 99, and I genuinely don't find much of her content particularly concerning. Truly, it seems like many of these theories are driven by ageism, misogyny and the fact that, for decades, it's been okay to rip on Britney. I thought I'd lay out of few of the worst conspiracies and my take on them to see if anyone else is on the same page (or am I just crazy).

 

1) she is dead/not real, is AI, is using some sort of identity disturbing filter. 

Britney has used ****ty video and photo editing apps since she started Instagram and all of these "examples" can be attributed to bad editing. This makes sense - throughout her career and especially at its height she was edited. Old habits. 

 

2) Her hair, makeup, teeth etc. is evidence of her being unwell.

Um, do we not remember the Stages documentary where she literally gets out of bed, covers her eyelids in pencil eyeliner and goes downstairs to do a gorgeous photoshoot? This has been her look forever, you just liked it better because she was younger. She's made comments forever about how years of extensions ruined her hair and she hates sitting for any hair treatment. Again, none of this is unusual. And her teeth? Basically everyone gets veneers and other corrective or inhancing dentistry. She either stopped wearing her retainers or just decided to stop the upkeep on her smile. 

3. Dancing videos.

This woman, again, spent decades spinning around and getting **** ton of accolades for it. Dance rehearsals, performances, photoshoots. Watch some of her early photoshoots - she's doing the same thing. This is how, again for decades, she has expressed herself and how to has performed for the world. She does it now in her living room because it's for her own damn self and not a photographer or promotion. But it's what's she's always done. The difference is that this isn't choreographed. 

4. Her voice.

Since about Femme Fatale we've seen Britney talk in a lower register regularly. Remember that GMA promo (I think it was during Britney Jean)? I don't know if it's a nervous thing or she thinks it's funny or what...but it's definitely not new. Same with the accents. Her grandma was British and she's been doing this accent literally since she's been famous.

5. "Weird" ****.

Britney is a weirdo. Always has been, always will be. She's always said and done weird off the wall **** - it's just that when she was 25 people thought it was cute. Now it's "scary," but it's the same Britney. 

6. She's "mentally unwell."

Look, she became a star as a teenager and was a child performer before that - she wasn't going to get through that unscathed. She's had anxiety for years, exacerbated by the paps/media. She had postpartum depression. Given the fact that she was on lithium she maybe fits criteria for a bipolar 1 (although I would guess 2) diagnosis but given her highly unusual lifestyle and upbringing I wouldn't rule out any symptoms being better attributed to that than a mental disorder.

 

I keep thinking I need to make a TikTok where I find old clips of her in her prime juxtaposed with her now. Same woman, behaving in the same way. People just liked her more then because she was young. That's bull****.

The reality is no, she never will. It doesn't matter if she sat down and addressed every single one of these theories, these people will not stop. They'll just move the goal posts, make an excuse for whatever she debunks and carry on with their bull****. Britney continuing to do what she wants, when she wants, how she wants, is the only way to free herself and her mind from their abuse. She stays unbothered while they seethe from being loud, wrong, and ignored.

She never got the chance to play around with apps, social media or whatever the same way other people have. This is her learning everything from the beginning. Let her live.

 

Alsooooo! I really hate the conspiracy that right now there are multiple doubles out there because Britney is planning a huge comeback. Paparazzi double, body double, the star decoy and whatever they call the various of people pretending to be Britney. 
Am I the only one thinking they just don't want to accept that she looks different now than in her prime? This woman went through hell and she survived, ofc. she won't look the same.

Are you referring to the Tik Toker Larry Potter?  Dude posts daily about her and uses those terms frequently. I'm like give it a rest boy

Yes, Larry! And I've seen some others saying something similar.
He's really sure of his theory that she's preparing for a comeback. I'm just not convinced myself. I agree, give it a rest lol

At first I was kinda convinced, but as the days pass its like he's grasping at straws, god forbid anyone call him out because he'll block or call them doom and gloomers

Haha I've always found it weird how people just block others who are not convinced like they are. He could be sitting down and making a video explaining the theory, so it would make some sense. It just makes you seem unsure of yourself if you suddenly start to block people

Agree.

She is one of or the only living popstar who is at the level of scrutiny and fame that Michael had.

When you're that famous,

people are gonna critize you and make up ridiculous rumors about you no matter what you do.

 

It also doesn't help that Britney's IG doesn't portray her in the right light nor does she leave her house like lots of people.

People like to be obsessed with conspiracies, playing detective, especially given the popularity of true crime. It's not even about Britney, it's about our society. True crime and qanon level theories should be banned everywhere

About the QUESTIONING... Her new manager is having dinners with her old manager, the one she fired once and the one she called out in her testimony! If Britney is fine with that idea, why she doesn't meet Larry herself? Since they are talking about her? They have so many weird stuff going on, her situtation it's almost the same since the end of the conservatorship, she keeps talking about Italy, New York, London but while she only being seen in Mexico or Vegas like she was stuck to these only places, she recorded songs with people but doesn't want to be involved in it? Will.I.Am has to contact a look-alike for the video??? She "writed" a book, the project of her life, but doesn't want to do a photoshoot for it... I'M NOT SAYING THAT STUFF PROOF ANYHTING, but you can't blame people for wondering. And as long as these kind of weird stuff are happening in Britney's life and considering her past, no it's not gonna stop! I'm agree that some people are going really far, the Tik Tok stuff are so annoying tho
