“Zoey 102” to Out Perform “Barbie”?

“Zoey 102”, the reboot film of Jamie Lynn Spears’ iconic hit series, Zoey 101, debuted yesterday and has surprisingly become a huge hit for streaming service, Paramount+. Many thought the film would do poorly due to the bad press Jamie Lynn has received since the #FreeBritney movement started. Could it be the success of the film, “Barbie”, has given an uprise in films that cater a female protagonist? If the numbers are correct, “Zoey 102” could be giving Paramount “Barbie” figures within just two weeks! That’s huge! I wouldn’t be surprised if this leads to a Zoey reboot series in the near future. Seems like Barbie and Zoey have saved cinema in 2023!

If it wasn't for this forum, I would have missed the release completely. And it didnt even manage to be the most watched movie on Paramount+ on its release day.

I've just watched the movie, of course not on any official streaming service. And I have to say I wish the Quinn actress had the main role; she was kinda the only one of the cast that had talent and felt authentic. The rest just couldn't be bothered to be any good.
