It’s becoming very popular to normalize and accept mental struggles in Hollywood and I firmly believe it’s due to Britney. 
She has no F to give and posts all the time without full glam. 
I see so many celebrities taking the same route and I think it’s fantastic. 
Do you agree with this? If so do you ALSO agree that Britney started this?

Yeah she started this back in 2007. Didn’t give two ****s, she was fed up with going around pretending she was okay and she showed the world what is often hidden behind closed doors. And of course it wasn’t calculated or anything, she was hurting and just did not care what people thought about it. Always genuine

I'd give her credit for doing it naturally and not because it's the cool thing now to talk about mental health. I do agree she is probably the most famous person and the first of the digital era to go from shamed by everyone to being understood by many (still a lot of people call her crazy and more) 

I'm thankful she didn't exploit it unlike other celebs like Selena Gomez because it comes off as just so fabricated and made for social media interactions, it doesn't feel natural or real.

I think people are more sympathetic to Britney now as it's something which is less taboo and more talked about in Western culture than it was 20 years ago. It's not the other way around. Britney didn't start that movement.

I don't think so.  I think there are no more IT girls and I'm glad.  That's too much pressure for a female.  And I'm glad B is posting home twirling videos.  It's time for her to relax and enjoy (what's left of) her money.

Also, I’m gonna disagree with the OP. She’s no longer the “IT” girl, and that’s ok. Most people don’t hold that title for that long anyway, and Britney held it from like 1999-2007 so I’m good with that. She’s been the most searched for celebrity many, MANY times.

Lol sweetie don’t insult the queen with a title she had at 16…Britney is music royalty and a LEGEND. Therefore, like mj, Whitney, Mariah, Madonna, prince, bey, etc she will always be the talk. And I believe will always able to tour and drop albums. It doesn’t matter anymore she’s the Britney Spears. Still getting those top 10s 30 years into her career
