Britney Hasn't Released A Great Album/Song Since 2011

Glory and Hold Me Closer were really average and not that great

Hold Me Closer is very overrated 

Very safe and generic 

when you listen to In The Zone/Blackout and then you go listen to Glory you just want to cry at how basic it is 

the last album that was really solid for me was Femme Fatale imo and this one didn't really feel like a Britney album apart from songs like How I Roll because of Bloodshy & Avant

I like Slumber Party and I think is the stand out. However, Glory overall lacks identity and vision. The songs do remind me of Selena Gomez. Make Me is also a good one - I wish they would’ve added a talented rapper, but I like the “Penelope in Blow” reference so I’m not really mad.

The album was released at a time when the chill "tropical house" edm trend—which I think is one of the most boring trends in recent years—was at its height

And the album production relies too much on that kygo/selena gomez sound imo 

it feels a bit monotonous

well this shows how much opinions can vary despite being a fan of the same artist because the only thing i agree with is that ff doesn't feel like a britney album 

glory is my fave album and i love hmc

i’ve always felt like glory was a bit overrated by the fanbase because it was such a step up from britney jean and because of britney’s improved demeanor during this time. it is definitely not an artistic triumph but at least it does sound like britney. sadly that was the bar.

Glory personally is my second favourite Britney album after Blackout. Sorry you don't like it as much.
