I mean, after all that s h i t she had to go through it is not surprising that she's retired. To be honest, we as fans usually deman too much and given how that music industry and hollyweird weirdoes work, I am not suprised she does not want to go back into that environment. She is still that girl. I mean look at her, she still makes people talk and she does not even perform. I mean, I bet that Britney has caused more conversations in 2022 alone that during like POM era. Yes, for us (fans) it may be sad, that the it girl is "not it girl" anymore but looking at it from B's POV, she does not need to be it girl and prove herself. She has done so much and the very moment when fans start acknowledging that will be the very moment that she will remain this "it girl" in our hearts which means that nobody can take that away. For me, even if Britney will not perform ever again, she's gonna be always that "it girl" the blue print of today's pop stars and she will always be my pop royalty. That's it. The business is ruined for her. She’s said that point blank. Also celebrities of her caliber “retire “and come out of “retirement” 10 times over. The great thing about her career is she can come back to it whenever she feels like it. If she feels like it. Regardless we have over 20 years worth of legendary/iconic everything from her. We’re good.

Yeah I think it's time to accept that. To be honest as a fan it saddens me. I mean we all wanted the world, the current generation what the Britney we are proud of and where she excels at, at her music but we have to accept if she wants to stop then let her. I will always be a fan and regularly check for updates about her but I won't expect any new material from her. She will always remain a legend.

I consider it more a sabbatical that might turn into retirement. I know it's been years since she did more than release a song but she's only been free for a year after 13+ years and it's really only been half that she has truly opened up and even traveled by herself. I think she's finally feeling free but having that also refreshes her anger that she didn't have it because of her family. It's making her want justice even more while knowing that there is a strong chance justice won't be satisfied. She has a long road a head of her still. Her finding what helps her with her trauma and finding people she can trust and figuring out how to do that isn't easy.
