This is the H40 Timeline.

 

It's one of the most confusing timelines

 

Between the Rob zombie era.

The H20 timeline which saw Jamie Lee Curtis die but as his sister which John carpenter had removed

 

But then theres also Jamie Lloyd era, which jamie lee died in a car accident

 

So it has been rebooted several times, until they got it right and Blumhouse said they'll be more movies as Michael Myers is pretty much the undead like Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger, so to even think of him as eating and breathing thing is pretty much you obviously missed the plot..he is just a Killin machine that comes back every Halloween to kill the citizens in his hometown
