It was really funny when he said 'She's somehow defrosting' when talking about going back into music business :elton:

Defrosting always reminds me of Michael Bubble near Christmas time :queenie_falling_dying_dead:

I think Britney has always had a special place in Elton’s heart. I think he maybe recognized something in her that he saw in Marilyn Monroe. He wrote “Candle In the Wind” for Marilyn and the lyrics intertwine with aspects of Britney’s life. Then when his good friend, Princess Diana, was killed, he reworked the lyrics for her. Marilyn, Diana and Britney were all the most photographed women in the world at one point; huge icons! All women that were abused by the systems set in place and had tragic endings, except Britney. So “Hold Me Closer” is celebration of Britney’s life and you can genuinely tell he wants her to thrive and remember the force she, as Britney Spears, has. And to not let that fire in her die out.

Lyrics to “Candle in the Wind” below

Spoiler
Goodbye, Norma Jeane
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would've liked to know you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh, the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would've liked to know you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Goodbye, Norma Jeane
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
Goodbye, Norma Jeane
From the young man in the twenty second row
Who sees you as something more than ***ual
More than just our Marilyn Monroe

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would've liked to know you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did
