NY Ranks the VMAs 2022 best and worst performances: Nicki Minaj, Fergie were hot, Blackpink not so much

Worst: Blackpink 

The performance was really bad and I’m glad somebody is calling this K-Pop acts out. The song is also basic at best. Why are they so overrated?

That song is basic, the sound is dated af, they are overrated and I don't understand the hype, at all... same old ish. 

 

Nicki performance was ok, fergie still didn't watch.

Fergie was a cool surprise, but her vocals sounded pretty bad, ngl. She was basically just like talking/screaming out her lyrics instead of actually singing them. I know she's not known for having great live vocals, but yeah.

I'm still rooting for her though and glad she's getting the credit she deserves for her song. Jack Harlow just straight up used her chorus as his chorus with some "uhhs" and "yeahs" and called it his song. It feels super unoriginal to me.

You really have nothing to do to criticize them like that, it was a good performance, people are so hateful nowadays. Even if you don't like a performance, you don't have to bash on an artist like that 😒😤

Saying that Fergie's performance is better than Blackpink's is such a reach. She literally just stood there, wearing a meh outfit, singing with whoever tf that guy is... Come on now. Actually, none of the performances there were better than Blackpink's. None of these so called american "artists" pulled a decent performance whatsoever. Keep hating the new stuff tho.
