How come Gen Z hasn't claimed/discovered this song yet?

My biggest problem with the ...Baby One More Time album is the song selection and tracklist. That back half of the album really faceplants when it doesn't need to.

Autumn Goodbye > Soda Pop

Deep In My Heart > Thinkin About You

I'm So Curious > I Will Still Love You

My playlist for ...Baby One More Time looks like this.

  1. ...Baby One More Time
  2. (You Drive Me) Crazy [The Stop Remix!]
  3. Born To Make You Happy
  4. Autumn Goodbye
  5. I Will Be There
  6. Deep In My Heart
  7. I'm So Curious
  8. Sometimes
  9. E-Mail My Heart
  10. From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart
  11. The Beat Goes On

Honestly if the album looked like that it'd probably be a trinity contender for me.

Think about this way- it's the only album we actually got 5 singles from and every single had a B side.

So technically, we got the most of the songs.

Properly milked era! :shaking_shake_gold_yellow:

How come it didn't end up on at least the deluxe edition? It was just a B side. :(

It’s on some rare editions and obviously is the B-Side to Sometimes. I’m not too sure why it didn’t make the album, a bad decision by the record label. I know Britney really wanted the song on the album and was pleased it was at least a B-side.

Not "I Will Still Love You" slander! Don Philip is shaking. I used to love this song as a kid :katybelt_perry_witness_yelling_singing:

The Britney era actually has it beat...

1. I'm A Slave 4 U

2. Overprotected

3. I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman

4. Overprotected (Darkchild Remix)

5. I Love Rock N' Roll

6. Boys

7. Anticipating

Because it was the b-side to be second single and all of her singles had very low physical pressings, usually less than 500,000 copies for the US market. In fact, apparently Sometimes never got a US release so it was practically impossible to hear the b-side unless it was somehow played on the radio or streamed on 90s internet. In fact, it was commonly considered a new song in 2009 when the Singles Collection made the song available digitally for the first time. I am a proud owner of the Singles Collection boxset which includes a disc and sleeve with complete front and back artwork for every single and every b-side or a remix. I think some even have three tracks.

Surprisingly, Someday (IWU) does not, (Mona Lisa is the b-side), but the 3 back cover track list absolutely has a third track, a “Donni Hotwheel Megamix” that is not actually on the disc.

I think it’s pretty good.
