Is it time to retire the Gun gifs from exhale?

I appreciate hearing both sides of the argument. Right now, I have decided to remove the gun GIFs. I saved them so in the event there is a shift, I can add them back. However, I do lean more towards removing them based off the ongoing gun crisis in the US.  I get that they are satirical and comical, however I feel a sense of responsibility to respond to the nature of events - in this case it's not promoting anything with guns or any likeness to it, even if it's fake or meant to make people

In light of what happened with those poor children being shot and the non-stop number of shootings in the states, is it time to retire the gun gifs on exhale? Obviously there’s more that needs to be done politically than what removing gifs from  forum can achieve, but are they really necessary here?

Honey, this Britney with gun gif is tasteless. Whoever did that shouldn’t be allowed to create gifs.

If only people would stop voting in Repugnantcans, that would work, but signing petitions and contacting a congressman is slacktivism (slacker activism). The real work is actually voting and volunteering to get people registered/voting for candidates that will do something.
