Name Your 5 Favorite Rock/Alt Bands.

Recommended Posts

With the current trap-oriented music trend, I just realized how the rock genre has already left the bubble. It's not like they don't exist anymore, but the way they spark a hit song these days is once in a blue moon. 1990's, 2000's and early 2010's are probably the metal, grunge, punk, alt and rock genres' golden ages. I am on listening spree within these genres, and realized to give them some love by creating this topic. And here are my five favorite bands:

1. Blur

2. Kodaline

3. The Ting Tings

4. Gorillaz

5. The Script

Spoiler

And here are my honorable mentions:

The Vamps

Neon Trees

Love to hear what are your favorite bands, and recommendations.

This is a genre I really miss from radio. Things have become so much less diverse as time has gone on. I'm listing WAY more than five...

Awe, thank you so much for the detailed recommendation. I really like Three Days Grace, The Used and Fuel. :disappointed_thinking_oh_okay_glasses:

Gonna browse their discography.

The kind of music I grew up on. That whole Californian 90s-early 00s wave of ska/rock/alt-bands was truly something else. :crying1_britney_sobbing_tears_2006_sad:

So true, especially the emo era. There's really something to emote in songs with heavy and high end productions, instead of trap-py beats. :gobaby_cheering_yes_yas_wow_proud:

I already know most of these bands, but Muse specifically caught my interest. And their song "Time Is Running Out" sounds very similar to this song:

Or it is just me.
