Do people care TOO MUCH about Grammy Awards?

Overall, I am tired of award shows. Watching out of touch celebrities collect awards while lecturing the public on their different views. And I am not alone in this as ratings for these shows continue to drop. A lot of people are over the entertainment industry. I enjoy good music, so I will stick to that. But idol worship of these celebrities is not for me. They are human just like everyone else.
