This Day In Pop: Christina Aguilera releases her fourth studio album "Stripped"

I like half of this album, but it hard to understand what was she trying to do here. Let's remember this era she was trying to depart from other pop girls calling herself an "artist", but conceptually this album is a mess... a whor!sh concept? vocal album? personal songwriting? emotional stuff?

While I do think Stripped has some AMAZING high’s, it also has some really bad songs and fillers that just drag the album on. This, Blackout, Teenage Dream, and Beyoncé are probably some of the most overrated albums by a female artist of the 21st century mostly thanks to their many vapid stans.

Walk Away is a legit masterpiece however.  One of the best songs of all time tbh.

Some albums just expand your horizon, and this one was one of those for me back then as a teenager. It has a clear vision and sound, it's well produced, it's unapologetic, it's mature, it's daring. Thank you, Xtina ;)

The album is called Stripped. The use of the term is a bit of a play on terms. To “strip naked” figuratively. Initially one may think physically (naked), but she’s meaning, baring one’s heart or soul (which I think is a bit misguided because … one could say she’s delusional and infatuated, lol). Her tracks encompasses that … from Dirty to … you’re beautiful, just the way you are cause Love is ****.

christina is kinda like gaga in the sense that neither of them know how to edit lol
stripped has some great songs, but half the tracks coulda been cut. it suffers from filler syndrome (just like born this way and the fame)
