It’s June 1st and 2020 has been a real doozy so far. Let’s recap!

I already feel bad for history textbook writers and documentarians for everything they’re going to have to unpack when they discuss the year 2020. This year has been a real doozy so far. Let’s recap the craziness so far:

• Australian wildfires
• WW3 Scare/U.S. conflict with Iran
• Kobe Bryant’s death
• COVID-19 global pandemic
• Mass stay-at-home orders
• U.S. faces highest unemployment and largest economic contraction in history 
• UFO sightings
• ****** Hornets
• ****** of George Floyd + massive nationwide protests and riots
• SpaceX and NASA complete first private crewed rocket launch 
• Anonymous returns
• Ebola outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo
• Locust invasion

Am I forgetting anything? This year has had enough events to fill a decade and we’re not even halfway through yet   We still have a presidential election coming up in the U.S. too.

One things for certain: the world will never be the same after all of this. Although 2020 has been rough so far, it’s arguably been a great year for pop music:

I can't help but feel like things are becoming worse and worse every year.  In terms of music, these are my favorite albums of the year so far:

• Poppy - "I Disagree"
• Gabrielle Aplin - "Dear Happy" (y'all should really give this one a listen)
• Dua Lipa - "Future Nostalgia"
• Carly Rae Jepsen - "Dedicated Side B"
• Lady Gaga - "Chromatica"

Still have a lot of albums that I want to catch up with, though, so this list is subject to change.

Yes, it was just announced today  Only 6 people so far this outbreak, but 4 people died.

I always said that 2016 was the worst year and that nothing would top it. And here we are. 2020 topped 2016 and ****ed it up its *** with a spiky *****.

2016 sure was a bad year for me, due to personal situations with my family, but I don't remember what else happened that year in the world?

The only thing that got me through it was that it was actually a really good year for Britney and Pokémon fans, but outside of that I don't remember anything else in other areas.

Well the hurricane season is apparently supposed to be very active this year. They are already keeping an eye on something developing in the gulf close to Mexico supposed to be headed our way next week.
