She used to be so good with words. Now she would just say the outfits are cool. 

I think she opened herself too much and made herself vulnerable, and was hurt in the process. And then retreated. Relatable.

 

It’s interesting, they say in times of crisis or struggles, the entertainment and pop culture tends to thrive. Do you think this was happening?

what’s crazy to me, i feel like the thing with Britney back then, at the height of her mega stardom, was the amount of controversy and hate surrounding her persona. Britney was no doubt adored all over the world, but she was also hated by so many. People either loved her or hated her, and everyone had strong feelings towards her. She was the most sought after person on the planet! People projected all sorts of insane expectations and ideas onto her.
