Britney Spears' "Make Me" Certified Gold

While its not a big deal, I still think this is decent for someone who's been for almost 20 years in the Biz. Most people predicted she was a Debbie Gibson fluke and that she wouldn't last longer than two albums.  She developed a huge career, became a Grammy Award winner, had continuous success for many years and now she may not sell albums anymore but at least she can still score Top 20 Gold singles.

They've been counting streams since 2014, but they usually state whenever the streams are in a great quantity.

I remember Nick Jonas got a Platinum plaque but for streaming only. I think Make Me...'s numbers are mostly real sales.

For some reason I thought It was sales only since it did pretty well on iTunes

It's mostly pure sales which makes it all the more impressive imo. Last time I heard about it's sales is that it was at 360K in pure sales and 700K with streams in the US

You know what, I kinda think G-Eazy's team had something to do with the certification.
If Brit's team hasnt gotten any of her singles certified in years it might be that its not her team that pushed it.

Certifications need to be bought. Circus sold 3M but since they didn't pay the RIAA for the plaque, it will remain uncertified.
