What do you guys think of Mannequin?

I never really see britney fans talk about this song and I'm curious as of what y'all think of it. I think it's a very mysterious & dark song yet very underrated. Personally, I enjoy listening to it and it's probably one of my favorite songs from Circus. It wouldve fit more if it was in Blackout to continue that dark vibey flow, but it's all good

It was very much talked about back in 2008 when Circus was released, I do think Britney said it was one of her favorite tracks off the album. And fans went crazy when the rehearsal- video came out when she goes insane with her dancers to an amazing choreo. Also performed during the European leg of the tour, a number she choreograped.

I love Mannequin, one of my favorites on Circus. saw her perform it in Paris and it was awesome.

Truth tea time:

Back in the pre-Circus era when the rehearsal video leaked and we had the ultra LQ clip of the track playing in the background somebody went and did a "studio edit" of the song for us.

The studio edit had a really catchy, Blackout beat put over the LQ instrumental and honestly.. when Circus finally leaked Mannequin could never live up to the expectations that the edit created for me 

I've come to like it more and more years later, tho. It's pretty hot

I remember the rehearsal leaked just before the vma 08 comeback. So everyone assumed that was her new song and she was performing it. The lyrics were defensive and sassy, I was in Love. Still listen to it occasionally , one of her most interesting songs ever I'd say.
