I think it's more about being too interested in them and their personality/lifestyle, than losing hers. Now that I think about it I tend to do that too, and only when I look back do I realize I wasn't completely myself at the time, personally I bounce back to my oldself after the relationship. It''s not always bad imo. And it's only natural to switch up a bit after breaking up, I think everyone does it one way or the other.
