I've been streaming this song on Spotify for the whole day on loop now and talking to as many people as I can about Selfish... there's probably better ways to gain traction but that's what I did. It's small, but I guess it's something.

It's not a single, but it got radio play, generated buzz and got on a Spotify official playlist. It does have a chance, a small one but still a chance, to chart on at least the Billboard 200 if keep it up. Let's just remain delusional positive and stream Selfish and even if it doesn't chart, it's still a bop

it does not have radio airplay, just some radios decided to play it. That's a different story and Spotify only added it to one list. There's no chance unless all of a sudden RCA sends it to the radio next week and decides to invest money on the track. I don't see it happening.

I still think we could at least be as low as the Billboard 200, I'm not dumb enough to think it could be #1 or something. Let's just try to at least make Selfish have peaked somewhere for the sake of it. But then again, if the mission was just to block JT on iTunes, it was accomplished, but all I'm saying that it wouldn't hurt to go a bit further.

Britney's Selfish only has a playlist reach of 770k on Spotify. It went up from 267k which is cool, but Justin's has 37 million since it's a new song that gets promo (you can check this out at songstats.com). He will most likely also get a radio deal since it's the first song of a new album. iTunes US impact is very small, if it remains in the top 1-3 for a week it could be less than 10k in sales nowadays.

I have the lyrics and instrumental of Selfish burned into my mind now and I'm afraid I'll ruin this song by overlistening, it better all be worth it 

 

Then again I listened to Hot as Ice an inhuman amount of times when I listened to Blackout for the first time, and Femme Fatale is better than Blackout so I shouldn't be worried
