It would have been 1 million times easier to just say: "I love my sister. I was caught between my dad and my sister and fed a bunch of lies, but after Britney's testimony and realizing her pain, I am 100% pro-FreeBritney." 

Had she said that, her book would be a NYT Best seller. She would be well on her way to re-booting Zoey 101 and possibly landing even more roles.
