Dev Patal reveals "Brutal" criticism while on the popular teen show "Skins"

Academy award nominated actor Dev Patel revealed that brutal criticism on his looks during skins, actually hurt him and was a personal toll..

 

He would go in these chat rooms to see what fans of the hugely British teen show "skins" was getting in reaction, only to be beaten down mentally as he was deemed the ugliest and his character Anwar was the least popular..

 

He also touches how his Indian neighbors in his neighborhood was actually disgusted by his parents for allowing him an international career in Hollywood..

 

He said they expect kids to become dentists or doctors in India, but here I am at 16 simulating s** and simulating **** use, which was controversial and a culture shock as my parents were judged, how could they allow a 16 year old to do such a show. 

 

MTV unsuccessfully tried to do a US adoption, but it was controversial for the content and the age of the cast, after one season MTV canceled the US adaptation saying while Skins is a great show, the topics it covers is not very US friendly on what teenagers really do in reality vs, the myth of teens. We have to cancel it as society doesn't see the societal commentary in the show.

Well, Indians are like this when it comes to education every second house you will find a doctor or an engineer or an CA it's too common here, Dev is a fantastic artist but not getting the recognition he deserves because Bollywood now is trash.
