Why Was Amy Winehouse Not Put in a Conservatorship Slavery But Britney Was?

So confused. Amy Winehouse was amazing and I love her. She was going through a lot of visible struggles and the media hated her too, but she was not placed in a conservatorship even though she was visibly destroying herself. Britney refused to leave the bathroom for custody once and has been enslaved for 13 years. WTF??

Because it’s the UK and not US. The UK doesn’t have conservatorships as there’s much better ways round things.

idk much about Amy but my guess is because Amy didn't have a controlling greedy evil family leeching off of her.

Oh she definitely did. Her father was and is just as bad as Jamie. He would of put her in c-ship without hesitation if it existed here in the UK

It may not be known as a conservatorship in the UK but there are similar arrangements to a conservatorship worldwide. Most countries will have legal arrangements to protect their most vulnerable citizens... the issue is when the system is abused. 

In Scotland a Guardianship is somewhat similar to a conservatorship, and in England and Wales I believe it is known as a Deputyship.

i was put in a guardianship because of my mental health. the only thing is is that i got out of it.

Amy’s dad wasn’t so great either. He made money off of her and still pushed for her to release music when she clearly should have been getting help outwith the spotlight.
 

I’d say Amy was in a much worse situation than Britney has ever been and look how it ended for her. RIP Amy can’t believe it’s been nearly 10 years.
