This is exactly what I was thinking. I could see Britney asking her to stay where she's at until she can retain good counsel who can get her out of this nightmare so that she doesn't have to deal with Jamie alone.

I can believe this? Only because if she left that would mean she would have to get another one and that could open the door for Jamie to step back in. And nothing about this implies she doesn’t want the cons to end, just means she understands that it’s a process.
