This Day In Pop is a series BreatheHeavy kicked off last year (shout-out to @JamesExhale) that highlighted special moments in pop herstory.

The series just got a major upgrade! 

Exhale now has an interactive pop anniversaries calendar that members can contribute to. All of the events in it thus far have been added by this flawless community, including today's! 

@limezd updated the calendar to include the day Whitney Houston released "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)."

Go ahead and check it out and leave a comment on the date so we can revisit it in a year. It's kind of like Exhale's time capsule.

Is the title really that long or is this one of those "Hit Me Baby One More Time" situations.  Anyway... RIP.

Her discography is one that I've never really delved into, but I can't deny her worldwide legend and icon status. This song especially (alongside "I Will Always Love You").
