Whitney Houston, Elton John , Mariah Carey and Harry Styles had a 14 weeks tie. So there was no longest running solo artist song song until Harry breaks the tie with 15 weeks next week. Which I think he will do. Mariah & Boys II Men held the record for the longest running number 1 song until Despacito tied it for 16 weeks, then Old Town Road broke the record with 19 weeks. All 3 songs are collaborations. so to answer your question, Mariah never held the record for the longest running solo #1 song. also all her #1 are questionable because her singles back in the 90s were discounted to 0.29 -0.49 cents, just so they could go number #1. mariah and her record label always played dirty getting those number 1s. Most of them are not even memorable.

Cold Heart was not a hit out of the gates. It took a while for it to reach its peak. this song is gonna do the same, it’s just came out a month ago. I know what you are saying. I unfollowed Britney on instagram because I felt like I was getting obsessed with her more and more and it’s all mental health and personal problems and drama posts now. I’m glad she’s finally free but she has been damaged badly. My heart and mind can not see her hurt, I feel hurt seeing her hurt. I was a fan of the of her music and pop star fantasy, but now her traumas and family drama took over. It’s too bad. I felt it triggered my personal traumas watching her go thru what she went thru. I feel her pain and I personally can’t process in my head because of my mental health. Same thing happened with Whitney Houston whom I’ve been idolizing for the last 30 years. Once the perfect pop image was destroyed my world got destroyed as well. Because it’s what we love and it’s a fantasy we live in. mental disease. I know. It’s sad but it’s true. anyways, I still support her music and come here to read everything, but I try to stay away from her personal problem topics. Best thing is to just go away for a bit and come back when you are ready to continue.
