Rina Sawayama cites Britney as an inspiration

Up and coming British singer Irina Sawayama just released her debut album today “SAWAYAMA” and included Britney in her inspiration playlists on her Spotify page. 

 

Actually as soon as I listened to the track “XS” I immediately noticed some similarities with “Gimme More” so I was glad to find out she was actually inspired by it

I gave his album a chance and it's not bad, essence is very 2000.

The album is not bad musically but the lyrics is to childish about best friends, existencial crisys and parents...

I like her album!!! It has elements of very early 00s pop. It reminds me of the Britney album for some strange reason?
