And it’s not just a matter of it being outdated early 00’s fashion either, because Britney specifically was on the worst-dressed celebrity list every single year during her prime. (However, the professional—and immaculate—hair and makeup she almost always had definitely did facilitate in offsetting some of these eyesores. Yeah same here, when I was a kid I thought she was the cool chick that is always trendy and even when fashion people criticize her style, I thought she was being cutting edge and they just don’t understand but looking back at these outfits now, I get it. She really is not a fashionista but it’s so polarizing cuz she’s such a girly girl that still till this day love shopping and buying cute outfits. Sometimes her style works, like When she makes mini dresses into shirts by putting on jeans, it works for that time period. Despite her questionable taste, I think we would never get looks like these if she didn’t. I mean who would have thought wearing a thong over your pants? Only Britney would do that. Link to comment
