  4. Hi guys, Coldplay is set to return to Brazil later this year with their first of many concerts taking place in Rock In Rio on Sept. 10 which is already sold out. Additionaly, they will play other dates the following month, again on Rio on October 11 and 12 and then Sao Paulo on dates Oct. 15, 16, 18 and now 19 the last day we think. Ticket sales begun on April 12 but the tickets were sold out in seconds. Initially, the band was supposed to play only one date in Rio (10/11) and then two concerts in Sao Paulo (10/15 and 16) but a few days later they announced an extra date for both cities. Again, the Sao Paulo tickets sold out in seconds, I was desperately trying to buy with no success. Then again, they announced a "4TH CONCERT" in SP which went for sale this morning prompting another sold out in seconds. I gave up since I couldn't but it and luckly there were a few tickets left for Rio on 10/12 and I bought it. I live in Sao Paulo state in the countryside but now I have to go to another state to see one of my favorite bands. Just early this month I went to see Maroon 5 in Sao Paulo, the first of many post pandemic international acts to play here, their last show was on March 2020 and last one before the covid hit. https://www.eventim.com.br/campaign/coldplay/
  5. Brazilian global pop superstar Anitta unveils her signature single and video, “Girl From Rio.’ The video is a celebratory homage to the resilient and vibrant culture of her hometown of Rio de Janeiro. The clip made its global broadcast premiere on US MTV Live, MTVU, and across MTV’s global network of channels, as well as on the ViacomCBS Times Square billboard. Listen to “Girl from Rio” above. Updating the melody of “The Girl From Ipanema” with a 21st century twist, Anitta serves up a sassy and **** ode to the ladies of her hometown. Her cheeky and clever verses give way to the immediately chantable hook, “Hot girls where I’m from. We don’t look like models. Tanned lines, big curves, and the energy glows, you’ll be falling in love with the real Rio.” The blockbuster visual seamlessly brings the song to life. Nodding to classic mid-century musicals, Anitta dons a forties-era bathing suit like a vixen from the rudder of a WWII plane and launches into a stunning routine surrounded by sailors enamored with her. Fast-forward to modern day, she gives audiences a look at the ultimate beach day in Rio—and it’s every bit as hot as you’d hope it would be! Anitta has been promoting the new single in America all week. Here are some performances:
  6. Iggy Iggz just dropped two new tracks ‘Sip It’ feat. Tyga: ‘Brazil’:
  7. Xuxa's 29th and 6th visual album Festa turns 15 today! It had re-recordings of her greatest hits since Xou da Xuxa (1986) and had Ivete Sangalo for the re-recording of "Festa". It sold more than 1.000.000 copies in DVD, yielding certification of diamond and reached 7th place among the best-selling CDs of the year, and 3rd place among the DVDs. It was nominated to the Best Latin Children's Album in the 7th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2007 but lost to Adriana Calcanhotto. Some from the album:
  8. Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender... Brazilian singer / icon, Gretchen Cantora, covered Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's "Rain On Me," and NGL it kinda slaps. She incorporates a saxophone and gives it a new spin. It's obviously just for fun but we love supporting legends. Thoughts, Exhale?
