I was recently visiting a local cafe in my city and was just chatting with the barista. Somehow we got on the topic of live music and she mentioned her sister is a singer and currently playing in Europe. Well, I checked her out and to my surprise she made a brief appearance on AGT. ABBA must be one of her influences because she recently released a new single called “Happy World” and it gave me instant ABBA vibes. What do you think of “Happy World?”

I always found the song boring. I much prefer BTMYH.

I’m going to give it a few weeks before I listen. It doesn’t sound like it fits the mood I’m in.

She’s had enough of Taylor Swift’s reign over pop music. For real, I will always check out new Jessica Simpson music. I don’t think she or anyone else expects huge sales, but I do find some of her music enjoyable. I just hope she has spent some time with a vocal coach to work on her over singing and her “baby” voice at times. She can sing, she just needs some control over her voice. Edit: Now I am wondering if this is even music. This looks like she is recording an audiobook or voiceover or something.

Meh, I’m not interested in any of these. I miss their sound from before they were big.

I was thinking the same. She hasn’t held my attention much at all lately.

“SOS” and “Unfaithful” were HUGE hits. I still don’t agree that that translated over to album sales. For how much those songs were played, her album sales should have been much higher. Rihanna was considered a singles artist during her first two eras, but this is when album sales still mattered.

I thought the same thing but it still looks cool.

Dania also discussed this on Instagram live once. I can’t remember if he said Britney recorded this song or if it was just intended for her.

I’d rather see Britney come back with something like this. High budget and almost like a Femme Fatale Pt 2.

I voted for “Loud,” but it was a toss up between that and “Good Girl Gone Bad.” ”Umbrella” SAVED her career. Rihanna was kind of a joke at that point and that song changed the trajectory of her career. I remember a lot of people being shocked she wasn’t dropped from her record label after “A Girl Like Me” underperformed.
