JT's New Single "Drown" - Theory!

What if Justin wrote his new single "Drown" from the POV of Britney to him in a post-Cry Me A River era? An (almost) apology of sorts?   

Otherwise, who TF is this "heartbreak anthem" about? He's been w Jessica over a decade...

I stopped reading the lyrics halfway through. It totally could be written from Britney’s POV but he would never be that empathetic. Hes still painting himself as this heartbroken victim. Still trying to capitalize off the Cry Me A River themed BS. I mean it has us talking about it. I didn’t even know he put out a new song until this thread came up.
 

I know artists are story tellers and sometimes just write about general life experiences but his heartbreak songs all lyrically sound the same- he’s bitter, he’s sad, he was scorned, his heart was always too big, he was too trusting and the woman is always the evil doer. Tired of the same recycled mess.

100% agree, he even called the person a liar, the nerve.

It’s weird I read the lyrics in Britney’s voice, like this would’ve suited her more than it would Justin since he’s the one that caused most of the pain and hurt. 

I’m not gonna jump on the bandwagon that every song Justin writes is about her because that’s a slippery slope of possible delusion I don’t want to be on, but the guy has a track record of writing about her. First Cry Me A River and then What Goes Around (Comes Back Around), so I do say that people thinking he writes songs about Britney do have valid reasons, but I’m not gonna say 100% it’s about her.

I don't think it's from Britney's point of view.
This is exactly the song from JT's point of view.

Because JT revealed what happened between Britney and JT in 2007 in the song "Only When I Walk Away" (20/20).

(Both Britney and JT often use quotes to mark their songs about the other)

 

Anyway, JT's new album seems to be all about Britney again. I'm surprised😅

Maybe but I feel like fans dwelling on this old story more than him. He couldn’t care less about Britney these days I feel and he made it pretty clear weeks ago when he said what he said. I think if it wasn’t this cancel culture era and the overdone pc he would have commented worse things on her.

But who knows maybe you are alright and he’s on exhale too when Jessica is not home.
