Why wasn't Britney featured on Lady Marmalade?

As many have said - Britney's image was basically lolita/virginal at the time. Being on LM would have backfired hard for her with middle america. I mean it backfired on Christina too but she had that god given voice to power through it and the LM vocal was and still is one of the best of her career.

I have never once said I hated Christina. And if you read one of my original reply’s you would see that.  

and again for the third time none of them on that track were anywhere close to how big Britney was.

She was too big a star to be part of an ensemble and knowing Jive they wouldn’t have let her do it either….remember how they didn’t want her to do Tilt Ya Head Back and it went to Christina.
