it was just a statement her team told her to say  sis knows that she does not but will occasionally when she wants to 

on the contrary for example Alison Goldfrapp uses some kind of voice effect to make her voice sound more smooth and etherial (like her music genre)

 

but you can cleary see that its 100% live in this case

If you believe that she always sings live or even that she's always singing just with her mic off, you are a blind fan. She does not sing live and she was lying. Was she going to say, "no I lip-sync" bffr

 

Y'all probably saw her perform Clumsy on POM and do the line," You let it roll right off your tongue" and actually point to her tongue instead of lipping the words and still thought it was live
