Joe got tired of living in the "Safe bubble", basically he wanted his friends to know and his family. 

 

He got tired of her controlling it to the point his family kept thinking he was single. 

 

Basically her need for constant control of her narrative was the nail on the coffin.

Friends of Joe, he was extremely uncomfortable with the level of fame she had. 

 

They started dating when her career took the hit it did. 

 

Within that time frame. 

 

She kinda was in the is her era of success over. 

 

Then in 2020, Folklore,  Evermore happened. 

 

Her competition gaga and Katy perry,  kinda never recovered commercially the way taylor swift did. 

None of them rebounded the way she did. 

 

She just kept getting bigger and bigger and never had a flop era like Artpop or Witness, but for awhile it looked like she was never gonna see her career like it is today. 

 

Even miss Americans discussed she only has one chance to recapture the glory of her prime, or she's just coasting cos of her past catalog.
