that South Park episode is so ugly and has aged terribly, I remember watching it when it first came out and it actually made me sick

I feel like the South Park episode was shedding light on how the media was being horrible to her. I agree I don’t like to watch it cause of how dark it is but I think they hit the mark in terms of the commentary they were trying to make. It isn’t funny but the kids are like the morale compass of the show and if I’m not mistaken they try and help Britney and are appalled by the towns / media treatment of her.

Yes, That’s how I saw it too. The episode isn’t really funny but it definitely showed how ridiculous Britney (or young pop stars in general) are treated. It’s very dark, but I think it’s a good episode.
