I feel like the South Park episode was shedding light on how the media was being horrible to her. I agree I don’t like to watch it cause of how dark it is but I think they hit the mark in terms of the

It isn’t funny but the kids are like the morale compass of the show and if I’m not mistaken they try and help Britney and are appalled by the towns / media treatment of her. 
 

 

I also think the South Park episode was a critic to the media and the GP, I remember watching it expecting to be offended but then I was like, wait, this is basically what media is doing to a human being. Unfortunately, this human being is Britney. :(
