My problem with all of this is if Britney’s anger towards Selena is due to something petty (which honestly it seems like it is) all that does it reduce Britney’s credibility.

She is literally shading Selena in the same tone that she claps back at her mom and others she’s gone after. All that does is make Britney seem like a brat and people will start to really question her claims about the abuse or if things were really as bad as she’s made it out to be.

In a world where people like Kanye West are truly saying vile things, she chooses to go after someone like Selena who didn’t even shame anyone?

Girl needs to get a reality check…

Funny how it’s always the same 4 or 5 Exhale members circle-jerking around eachother fighting tooth and nail to justify anything Britney does or says. Look, I’ll always love my homegirl but it’s okay to admit she’s in the wrong at times. Her, Kanye and Nicki have completely lost it as of late, especially with the current state of affairs going on in our world right now where antisemitism is on the rise and people are literally dying of basic human rights during a feminist-led revolution. And I say that as someone who’s been and/or is a fan of all three. Like, why use your massive platform to harass someone or a group when you can direct that energy towards something more significant that can benefit the world at large instead. Look, Selena is not my favorite and I do think she can be a bit performative but celebrities can’t just spew out negativity or say whatever they want and except to not receive consequences, especially when they have massive platforms. Britney is clearly angry about a lot but Instagram is not always the best platform to channel out that energy, especially when it’s been nothing but rinse, recycle, repeat. Whatever though, by the end of the day, if Britney wants to slowly chip away at her public respect and legacy, that’s her prerogative and she seems to be fine at doing just that.

Honestly. My heart can't take watching Britney be abused like this on the internet. It's hard enough with th cship, but her lashing out publicly every week takes a toll on me too. I just want her to heal and move on, and this is obviously not the way to do it.

She is hurt, and angry, rightfully so, but needs to go after her father, Lou etc. Not Christina and Selena.

I know a lot of people say that she is free now and can say whatever she wants, yes I agree, but there should be a better way to heal.

I probably won't engage with her social media accounts until her book comes out. It's too much.

 

PS: If this is true I mean. What the hell could Selena and her have had a fallout over?

I think both women have their views and both messages were well intended. “What’s inside is more important than showing skin for validation” is not virtue signalling IMO it’s an equally important message especially for women and girls who don’t have “hot” bodies to expose or feel like they can’t. Britney’s message is also meaningful: flaunt what your momma gave ya! 
 

This “feud” is cringe though. Britney is a 40 year old woman coming for girl a decade her junior. Like c’mon Brit Brit, take a chill pill. Put the swords down. Ya’ll are both pretty! Haha.
