Throwback Thursday: when iTunes gave everybody a free U2 album, and nobody was happy about it.

That one time when it was great to be an android user..

 

Apple never did a business deal like this ever again, they partnered with u2 for an entire decade, and most said, even tech guys said, this was an invasion of massive proportion and not being able to remove or delete the album added more controversy. 

 

Eventually Apple caved in..and let people delete the album..

Interscope had nothing to do with that, but apparently 600K of that million came from that sale, forcing billboard to change the rules, oddly they keep changing the rules a lot, to the point people are asking how, and are the streams actually verified or bought. 

 

FYI, interscope revealed they lost 10 Million thanks to that Amazon sale.

Omg I was so mad when their album started randomly playing on my phone
