This is true. I rarely listen to Britney or pop music in general. In fact, I listen to black metal more often. But I came here because I just found out she was still in a conservatorship earlier this year. I recall my mother, who doesn't listen to her, commenting a few years back about one of her comeback appearances on some award show, "I'm so glad she seems to be happier now. She's been through a lot." I was like, "mmyeah, true dat." I was a kid in 2007 and can't recall clearly what it was like for Britney back then, but my mother can. Note, this is in a corner of Europe, so not like it was as blasted all over as in the American media.
